Little Egret (Egretta garzetta)
The Egretta garzetta, commonly known as the Little Egret, is a graceful, medium-sized heron found across Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. This elegant bird is easily identified by its pure white plumage, long black legs, and slender black bill. During the breeding season, it develops striking plumes on its back, neck, and chest, along with bright yellow feet, which give it a distinctive look. Little Egrets are agile hunters, often seen darting through shallow waters or standing still, waiting to catch fish, crustaceans, and small aquatic creatures. Their versatility allows them to thrive in various habitats, including wetlands, coastal areas, and even urban environments.
